Into My Mouth

Teething is MISERABLE - it hurts a lot! Nobody told me it was going to be so painful. I coulda used a warning on this. (Hello? Mom? Dad? It's your job to let me know what to expect down the road. Please work on that next time a milestone is going to cause me anguish. Thanky.)

I've been researching what types of things will make me feel better during this time and I have something groundbreaking to report - putting things in my mouth and chewing on them helps. Do you hear that, fellow babies? Put things in your mouth when you are teething. Radical, I know, but trust me. Below are a few things that feel real nice on my gums. Stuffed animals. Tupperware. Water bottles. Ahhh... Sweet relief. I've also experimented with teething toys, my fists, Daddy's fingers, and some clean laundry that mommy was folding. Some of those worked better than others.

All of this teething and chewing on things has left me so tired. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Posted by Picasa

My Trip to Maryland

What a busy Fourth of July weekend I had. I went to Maryland with the folks to visit with all of my grandparents and to meet my aunt and cousin. It was so much fun to spend time with everyone. My first time in a plane was pretty cool (Daddy calls planes "metal birds that fly," which FREAKS MOMMY OUT). Cousin Hannah and I shared our toys with each other and held hands - we're tight like that. I haven't seen this much family together since my bris, which was not NEARLY as fun as this.
