Holy Cow - I'm One!!

My first birthday was great. Mommy and Daddy say that the world celebrates with me on my birthday. How sweet. But even better than that is cake. Wow. Have you ever had this stuff?? It's incredible. I had yellow cake with brown sugar icing (Mommy and Daddy say that there are lots of different kinds of cake - I can't wait to try them all). It was delicious. I couldn't get it in my mouth fast enough. And I found out that some cold milk goes great with cake. The things you learn when you're one...

Anyway, I got pretty messy eating my cake, so I took a bath. Mommy told me that bathtime is awesome when I'm all looped up on sugar, but I don't know what she meant by that.

The Bestest Gift I've Gotten in My Whole Life

Today Mommy and Daddy surprised me with a brand new swingset. I was so excited that my hair stood on end. Ha ha - just kidding. That's the static electricity from the slide, which I LOVE going down. Besides the slide, there's a rockwall and a fort for when I'm older, a swing, a see-saw swing, and rings to hang from. I had such a good time on my new toy - I can't wait for my friends to come over and play on it with me!

Hanukkah

I can't believe that Hanukkah is over already. It's a great holiday - I really liked it. The menorah was beautiful - wanted to touch it and "make nice," but Mommy and Daddy said that it's just to look at - never to touch. Boo.

I got lots of gifts. They were really cool but the wrapping paper was my favorite part. It makes a good crunchy sound and it tastes good. But once the 'rents took the paper away from me, I realized that I my gifts were really fun to play with.

Big Boy Bathtime

Daddy's been telling Mommy for weeks now that I'm way too squirmy to take a bath in the sink. She finally relented, so now I take my baths in the big boy bathtub. I have so much fun splashing around. I can stand up and crawl around in the big tub - things that I wasn't allowed to do in the sink. I also like that there is so much more room for my toys now. But I still hate having my hair rinsed.

I Can Walk!!

Okay, so I can't walk on my own, but I'm quickly becoming a pro at walking while pushing my cart around. I load it up with my favorite friends and we take a walk down (about 4 houses down) the road and back again. And when I get tired, I join my friends in the cart and make Mom or Dad do the pushing part (walking is exhausting!).

Sundays are Fun Days

I had a great day this past Sunday. First I went to my friend's birthday party. She turned one and she got to eat cake. Mom says no cake for me until I turn one. I'm bummed, but as a consolation, I got to ride a bike.

When we got home, Mommy said that I was in desperate need of a nap. Whatever. But after the nap, Mom and Dad took me to the park, and I had a lot of fun. I got to ride on Daddy's shoulders, play on the swings, and go down a slide. It was so much fun!

It's Been a Long Time!

Sorry that it's taken me so long to post. November was a busy month for me - first I caught the stomach flu (Daddy took good care of me until I felt better). Then I was busy talking on the phone. And then I was too busy munching on Mommy's glasses to type. But I'm back now.
