I Learned a New Word!

It's OCEAN. Have you ever seen this thing? It's huge and I'm amazed by it. I didn't learn the word BEACH, but there was lots to do there - I liked watching the airplanes and helicopters fly by, I loved playing in the sand (that stuff is hard to walk on!), and I liked looking at the ocean. OCEAN. I wasn't a huge fan of going in the ocean (the waves splashed my face), but it's a lot of fun to look at and say. OCEAN.

My Membership Has Been Approved

You might ask what membership I'm talking about, so let me tell you. I am now a full-fledged member of the Climber's Club. Whoo hoo! My entrance exam entailed climbing into my highchair unassisted and on the sly. Mommy was putting groceries away and while her back was turned, I made my move. I am a rockstar!

Unfortunatly, once I was up there, I couldn't figure out how to turn around and get down, so that freaked me out a bit. Hopefully, I'll learn that soon.

Conflicted

What a difference a year makes. On the other hand, maybe not so much.

Ride Horsies!

This city boy has gone country. Okay, I'm not so much "city" as I am "suburban." And although Mommy has her fingers crossed that I go somewhat country on her, I haven't committed yet. Anywhooo....

Mommy and Daddy took me to a petting zoo today, and I got to ride horsies, which just happens to be one of my favorite phrases. RIDE HORSIES!! Who knew when I woke up today that I'd actually get to ride one? Whoo hoo! I also got to feed and pet some goats, chase chickens and ducks, pet a sheep, admire a few ostriches (ostri?), and see a big cow and an odd black and white bird coexist in the same pen. Strange bedfellows indeed.

I had a great time - you can see some photos of my fun day below....

Paint this, VanGogh.

Talk about your masterpieces. I totally rock in the painting department. You can see below how beautiful my creations are and how pristine my studio is. Well, at least the first part is right. I had a great time finger painting. My favorite part of painting is making a mess. My second favorite part is being (nearly) naked. And then there are the accolades, of course.

Happy July 4th!!

Who knew that Sylmar was the place to be? Mom and Dad took me swimming today and I had a great time. I wore my hat and earplugs like the big boy that I am. You can even see me putting on my sunscreen (which I say very well, by the way). I am so responsible.Okay, so maybe I didn't actually put it on as much as I pointed the spray bottle to my leg and made a "pshhhhh" sound.

I liked watching all of the bigger boys at the pool. There were girls there, too, but I don't say "girls" yet, so they're all boys to me. I did not like putting my head under the water. But it was a great way to spend the holiday, especially when the local temperature is in the triple digits. I hope everyone has as good a holiday as I did!
